Many questions arise about the difference between a free estimate and a service charge. Here are some of the most commonly asked questions about this subject.

Q: What is the difference between a service charge and a free estimate?

A: A service charge is for any task that can be taken care of that day. Toilet or sink installs, light fixture replacement, small carpentry jobs, and so on. These jobs are usually small by nature. A free estimate is for larger jobs in the home. Kitchen/Bath remodels, deck replacement, heating system installs or room additions. A general rule of thumb is: service is for install or replacement of existing fixtures in the home. Estimates are for new rooms or home rebuilds.

Q: Why do I have to pay a service charge for you to tell me how much the job will cost?

A: We charge a service charge to eliminate the need for additional charges in our job costing. It cost 49.95 to get a stocked truck with a qualified technician to your door ready to work.  It also covers some time to go over any situation or problem you may be experiencing.
